This year, I’m participating in the Making Art Everyday challenge hosted by Lisa Bardot of Bardot Brush. Here are some of my favorite pieces I’ve made during the challenge — you can see all of them over on Instagram in my #makingarteveryday story highlights.

#makingarteveryday Days 41-47: Chicken+Surfing, Hippo+Makeup, Octopus+Cooking, Gorilla+Ballet, Otter+Kissing, Koala+Crying, and Frog+Painting — This started out as a way to combine the octopus and gorilla prompts and (hahaha) save time. As it took longer and longer, I kept adding each day’s prompt in, and so I figured I’d just put the chicken and hippo in too even though I’d already painted those prompts. #makingarteveryday 7/365: Pie — when we got the twins, Quill came with the name Peanut because he was only a fraction of the size of Ace and their sister when they were rescued. As he grew after coming home with us, when he’d curl into a little ball, I’d call him Potato…then Sweet Potato…and now Sweet Potato Pie. (His big brother, meanwhile, went quickly to Pumpkin and then Pumpkin Pie.)
